A GLOBAL INITIATIVE FOR CLIMATE ACTION
Ensuring information integrity on the climate is the key to real change. With COP30 on the horizon, strengthening the information ecosystem is more urgent than ever.
The challenge is undeniable. The moment is now.
Welcome to the Summit.
The Climate Information Integrity Summit in Brazil is a pivotal event designed to expose the failures of the current information ecosystem to address the climate crisis, and drive concrete action to protect climate information integrity. This crisis isn’t just a Brazilian issue; it’s a global challenge that demands urgent attention. Information threats and risks erode public trust, hinder evidence-based decision-making, and undermine efforts to address the climate emergency. In Brazil, the intentional spread of false and misleading narratives poses a significant threat to the country’s ambitious climate goals and its potential for leadership in sustainable development.
This Summit will bring together key figures from government, industry, civil society, and the media to foster a robust dialogue, share insights, and forge a path toward a more informed and sustainable future. It is a crucial step in supporting Brazil’s leadership in strengthening climate information integrity, particularly as the country prepares to host COP30 in November. This effort aligns with and supports the Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change, a groundbreaking initiative spearheaded by Brazil on the global stage, and co-chaired by the UN and UNESCO.
The Summit is organized by FALA, Conscious Advertising Network (CAN) and Climate Action Against Disinformation (CAAD).
